I just found out that Alita had passed away. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I spoke to her several times and she was a wonderful person to talk to and helped me out with almost any question I had on the software. I am sure she will be missed not only by you but all of us who had the opportunity to interact with her at Hammerlane. God Bless you and comfort you in these hard times.

my comment is Ive been driveing 16 years and I was siting in my friends car out side of a store with the car running, and the cops tried to say I was driveing. my friend ran when he came out the store, I refused the breath test, I won the case but sec of state wont take refuse to test off my record and companys dont want to let me lease on, I didnt get a dui, any one experence the same thing

Just stopped by the website to see how things had changed. I used this software in the mid 90s until I stopped driving for health reasons. I thought that it was the best software I had seen for a trucker. I have since moved on and now program computers for a company that provides testing for education and businesses. I don't get to travel around as much as I once did but maybe someday I will make my way out to Oregan and take the time to look you up again. I met you once or twice before at the Burns Brothers Truck Stop and at a Mobile Home office you had near there. I wish you continued success with the program.

It has served me well for many years.I have bought a new gateway computer and it hasen't got a floop, it is all disk, so i am going to do the ten day free trial. Fred, Thought I would write just a tid bit here about something that just happened while adding trip information into HL3. I had started to add fuel reciepts from several trips back and in this batch there was one from Newberry Springs,Ca. The amount per gallon was a whopping 3.409. HL3 gave me a prompt that the amount seemed wrong, nope it was right on the money. Thanks for 4 years of good talks and lots of HELP!!! Scott Neal/ EMS Trucking

We are a Sub S corporation and are leased to SMX. Have been searching for computer software that doesn't need to duplicate out settlement sheets, just keeps track of gross, fuel, advances etc.... so I can keep track of personal and corporate income & expenses with same program. Have any ideas?

I enjoy using HammerLane, it has made keeping up with the bookkeeping much easier.

Hammerlane IS the best I've tried them all! question, I'm running windows 64 bit now and it appears HL is not compatable,are you or will you be working on an upgrade?

hi fred, i just bought another truck and i need to see what it would cost to upgrade to the leased fleet, or full fleet, not sure which one i need. the most trucks i would own is probably 5. can u please get back to me asap. i will be starting my new truck on monday or tuesday. does the website work on the downloads cause i know that they didnt before. i love the program it was a little difficult getting used to it but it works great. thanks terrie

I finally got my info organized for my taxes. As little as I know about computers, I am doing ok with your software. My CPA was pleased with the reports I printed out. He said it would make his work much easier. Keeping up with thing will be a lot easier now. I would be lost if I hadn't had your program. I am writing this little note to Thank Hammerlane for making my life in the office so much easier. I was doing all my book work and keeping track of loads and drivers advances in a book. Since i have bought the Hammerlane Software I actually love my Job. I am so much more organized, being in this line of work your paper work has to be correct and in line. I would recommend this program to all Trucking companys. Fred with Hammerlane is patient with me and has been great in answering my questions and figuring out my problems. Its usually just a click of a button. But all in all I Love Hammerlane. Thank-You Again! Ronda

Just need an opinion from some owner/operators. If someone could keep track with your receipts, cost to run, and fuel taxes, (basic bookkeeping) would you pay that someone to do it and how much would you be willing to spend?

I'm thinking about buying a Hewlett-Packard iPaq h2215 Windows Moblie Pocket PC. Can I run HL on this system? I have it on my lap top already and it's working great. I just want to know if I could run it on a smaller device.

Fred,answer me this why would Hammerlane copy the same info twice on the same disk?It does not do this on my laptop. Seems to me to be an issue with windows or the a:drive,what do you think?

Fred,I tried to recover my info onto my main computer from a disk.It started jumping around and locked Hammerlane up.I then had to remove Hammerlane and reinstall it.I had to do this twice,I tried downloading it from your web site thinking something on my disk was bad. I recieved a error message : routine error occured do you wish to debug? line 13 error: object required . Does this make any sense to you? Let me know if you have cleared your program of any defects,and I will get onto Gateway or windows about this. Would it work better with windows xp for business?

To end a trip and set up the next trip just click the end trip button on the trip screen

Good morning. I just downloaded the sample of Hammerlane Software. My question is, how do you start a second trip, etc.? I do not see where you click to do that. Any help, thanks.

Fred, they make a 128meg usb harddrive,sells for 30 to 40 dollars, I recommend it for backing up hammerlane or log book programs is a lifesaver when you have computer problems, you know when uncle Murphy strikes.You can do a full restore without searching for floppys ect.

Hi Scott If you will go to the Expense entry screen and click on the Edit Expense types button then scroll through the list you will notice that each expense type is ether "T" for trip related expense or "F" for truck fixed expenses like truck payment and "P" for personal expenses. The only expense that needs to be entered in to the correct trip are related to that trip. All other expenses can be entered in to any trip. HammerLane then shows the trip expense against that trip. When you click the bookkeeping or P/L summary buttons HammerLane prints out your report keeping the trip, fixed and personal expenses separate.

I have been looking at software options for our new trucking business. I have been looking at O/O demo (we have 1 truck). I cannot seem to find where you keep track of expenses that are not charged against a trip. We basically deal with brokers so all our expenses will be incurred by us not who we do the trip for. I am looking for an all inclusive software that can help me track not only the trip, invoicing, fuel, but also general expenses related to our business that will help us report at tax time.
